Common Forms

NIH has been covered recently for the change in Biographical sketch with an original implementation of January 25, 2026 , NIH posted a leniency for the January deadline, then extended the deadline through May 25, 2026

The following organizations have also implemented Common Forms through SciENcv. After a document is created, SciENcv can duplicate the document for use in another agency format. Formats are specific to sponsor choose the appropriate forms related to the application.  

NIH

May 25, 2026 NIH will enforce the requirement of the biographical sketch, biographical sketch supplement form and Current and Pending Other Support (CPOS) for each individual identified as Senior/Key Personnel created in SciENcv. DOE

January 1, 2026 – for funding opportunities published on or after January 1, 2026DOE requires the common forms, biographical sketch and Current and Pending (Other) Support (CPOS) for each identified covered individual created in SciENcv. Use the DOE template within SciENcv. DOE SciENcv page.

USDA 

December 31, 2025, the recipient of a research award (whether an institution or individual), and all employees of the recipient who work on the research award, must complete the Common Form for Current and Pending (Other) Support and the Common Form for Biographical Sketch using SciENcv, submit the form(s) at time of application, and agree to update the form(s) at any time USDA deems appropriate during the term of the award, but no less than annually. NSF 

2024 NSF requires a Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending (Other) Support for each individual identified as Senior Personnel. Applications must use the NSF template within SciENcv. NSF FAQ on SciENcv.
