The Policy, Operations and Training team is responsible for analyzing and interpreting federal, state, local government, and UCSF research administration policies to ensure alignment and compliance across the Office of Sponsored Research. The Policy Training Officers develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), deliver training to OSR staff, and oversee the certification program that delegates authority to staff to conduct sponsored research activities. In addition, the team manages and maintains internal and external OSR web content to ensure information is current, accurate, and accessible.
The Policy, Operations and Training team also oversees the Resource Allocation Program (RAP), which streamlines the intramural funding process and provides a single online application portal for UCSF researchers to apply for a wide range of funding opportunities.
