Recent Guidance:
NOT-OD-26-005 All October and November grant application deadlines will be rescheduled, with new dates to be announced in a future Notice. This delay is for applicants to have full access to NIH staff and help desks when preparing submissions.
All peer review meetings and council meetings scheduled between October 1–November 14 were cancelled and will be rescheduled. More details will be shared once new dates are confirmed.
The eRA system stayed open during the shutdown, and staff are now working through a backlog of service desk tickets, response times may be longer than usual. Any RPPRs, FFRs, or other reports submitted during the shutdown were successfully received; reminders and confirmations will be issued in the coming weeks, and no additional action is needed unless NIH contacts you.
NIH will provide more updates soon, including guidance for operations under a continuing resolution.
When posted, OSR will review the revised deadlines and issue guidance to simplify submissions and manage staff workload effectively.
