NIH Grants Policy Statement (NIHGPS), effective March 2026. The NIHGPS provides the standard terms and conditions of award for NIH grants and cooperative agreements, along with policy guidance for applicants and recipients.
This revised version incorporates updated requirements, clarifications, and policy changes implemented since the previous edition, released in April 2024. It also consolidates NIH Guide Notices in effect as of March 17, 2026.
NIH will continue to issue interim policy updates and clarifications through NIH Guide Notices and, when appropriate, Federal Register Notices.
