NSF Policy Supplement
The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) released Policy Notice Supplement 2 on January 23, 2026, which provided updates to the Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG), version 24-1. The PAPPG updates provided in this Policy Notice supersede the relevant financial assistance policies provided in the 24-1 version of the PAPPG. In addition, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) is updating its Project Reporting and Public Access Repository (PAR) systems to align with NSF’s Gold Standard Science Implementation Plan.
April 27, 2026, DSMP Release
The Research.gov tool referred in the Data Management and Sharing Plan (DMSP) section of the PAPPG Supplement 2 Policy Notice will be released on April 27, 2026. Proposals submitted before that date should continue preparing the DSMP as a PDF upload.
