2026 RFA for CADC Scientist Program

Applications for the Center for Aging in Diverse Communities (CADC) Scientist Program 2026 is now open.

The CADC is now requesting applications for CADC Scientists who will conduct one-year pilot studies to investigate research questions on health disparities and aging. We are committed to mentoring CADC Scientists during and following their one-year pilot study to support development of a successful research career.

The applicant must be at the level of a postdoctoral fellow or an assistant professor at UCSF or UC Merced, whose research aligns with the CADC theme (understanding multilevel social and behavioral mechanisms of health disparities impacting older adults, and developing community and practice- based interventions to achieve optimal health), and has a strong commitment to reducing health disparities in older populations. We encourage you to review the attached RFA for full details and assist us by forwarding this message and the attached RFA to your colleagues or posting it on your website or listserv.

For applicants, we strongly encourage an email indicating an intent to apply with their name, position, and draft title to [email protected] by Friday, January 23, 2026.

The online application can be found at https://cadc.ucsf.edu/apply and is due by 5pm on Monday, February 23, 2026. We anticipate awarding 3-4 Scientists who will join our robust mentorship program and receive pilot funding.
